Both Funjet and Allianz policies say Cancel Anytime but both have some exclusions – all insurance policies do.
FUNJET -
- Purchased at time of deposit.
- Cancel for any reason - 100% refund (less cost of insurance)
ALLIANZ -
- Purchased within 14-days deposit.
- Cancel for any covered reason - 100% refund (less cost of insurance)
- Cancel for a non-covered reasosn - 85% refund (less cost of insurance)
Funjet Vacations. The Funjet TPP includes is a cancel for any reason cash refund plan through TripMate. I don’t have a brochure, but you can review the basic policy at the link. It must be purchased at the time you pay your deposit and cannot be canceled. It is usually more expensive that the Allianz Plans offered by CruisePlanners.
Cruise Planners offers specially negotiated Allianz policies and there are two Allianz Plans: Odyssey and Worldwide Travel Protection (WWTP). Any of these plans may be canceled within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Request a brochure to view the details.
Odyssey cannot be used for cruises, and is a flat rate based on the cost of the trip.
WWTP can be used for any travel, and the price is based on the cost of the trip plus the age of the traveler.
The basic versions of each plan pays 100% if trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason only and is less expensive than the Cancel anytime option. The basic version may be purchased until the day before travel commences.
Both Odyssey and WWTP have Cancel Anytime options (priced a little higher). A Cancel Anytime Option must be purchased within 14 days of an initial trip deposit and has a 15-day review period.
Difference between Odyssey and Worldwide Travel Protection Cancel Anytime Plans. The WWTP Cancel Anytime provides for cancelations due to business reasons which Odyssey does not. Both the Odyssey and WWTP Cancel Anytime optional plans pay 100% if trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason and 80% for any other reason.
